Kay Frances Hunt

Kay Frances Hunt, 79, of Concord, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at home in Concord.

Kay was born July 1, 1944 in North Carolina to the late Lonnie Boyd Griffin and the late Wilma Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her Step-Father, Hurley Lambert.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord officiated by Rev. Tim Newton. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Kay was an assistant clerk of courts in several counties for many years, eventually retiring from Cabarrus County.  She loved spending time out in the yard, working in her flower garden.  One of Kay's favorite places to visit was Garden City where she would spend many hours on the beach.  She loved to travel and has been to several different countries learning how different cultures live.  Kay was a member of Wilmar Park Baptist Church. 

Survivors include Guardian (God daughter), Angela Smith of Concord, NC; aunt, Joyce Smith of Locust NC; and several cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at New Infiniti Home Care Services, LLC for their wonderful care that was provided over the past months.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/nc.
