Kebie Kennedy

Kebie Cox Kennedy, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of China Grove, passed away Wednesday September 29, 2010, in Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast, Concord, NC. Mrs. Kennedy was born July 30, 1930, in Rowan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Luther Kennedy; father, Roscoe Linzy Cox; mother, Ethel Bostian Cox; son, Michael Kennedy; granddaughter, Regina Kennedy; and brother, Boyce Cox. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 1, 6 – 8 p.m., Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. At other times, the family will meet at the home of son, Gary, at 33 First Street, Concord, NC. The funeral service will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m., in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, Rev. Steve Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. Survivors include five sons, Roscoe “Sonny” Kennedy and wife, Martha, of Concord, Sammy Kennedy and Ronald Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant, Gary Kennedy and wife, Vickie, of Concord, and John Kennedy and wife, Tammy, of Landis; brother, Henry Cox of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
