Keith Burris

Keith Wayne Burris, age 73, of Albemarle, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Prospect Baptist Church, Albemarle on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 12:30pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will be held at Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Mr. Burris was born on March 23, 1940, to Virgil Burris and the late Pauline Burris. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Burleson Burris and a granddaughter, Amber Morton. He is survived by four daughters, Nitka Hanson and husband Russ of Harrisburg, Karen Morton and husband Billy of Albemarle, Kim Wooten Frick of Albemarle, Stacey Burris Clark of Albemarle; a brother, Glenn Burris and wife Betty of Albemarle; two sisters, Jean Miller and husband Horace of Albemarle, and Linda Burris and husband Butch of Albemarle; a special friend, Carol Shank; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North 1st St. Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Burris family.
