Keith Talbert

Keith Wells Talbert, 83 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.

Mr. Talbert was born January 21, 1934 to the late James William and Bertha Terry Talbert. In addition to his parents, he was also proceeded in death by his brother, Douglas Talbert and sisters, Tharon Barringer and Betty Harward.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Stoney Benefield and Associate Pastor Ray Johnson. The family will receive friends following the service from 1:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Gaye Talbert; sons, Terry (Donna) Talbert and Ricky Talbert; daughters, Teresa Forkel and Sharon (Ed) Lavin; five grandchildren, Brian Forkel, Jessica Forkel, Kimberly Lavin Barker, Julie Lavin Koetsenruijter, and Katie Talbert Chandler; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Hudson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County & The Uwharrie, 960 North First Street Albemarle, NC. 28001.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice, Bethany Woods Nursing Home, TLC at Home Services for their loving care and support shown for Keith.
