Kelly Watkins

Kelly Ann Watkins, 81 years of age, of Fairview NC, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at home. Mrs. Watkins was born October 2, 1931 in Union County to the late William David Porter and the late Jessie Vandelia Porter. She was also preceded in death by husband, Herman Watkins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday at Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe officiated by Dr. Lee Pigg and Brian Austin. Burial will follow at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery at 420 Hopewell Church Rd., Monroe. She is survived by daughter, Susan Kiker and husband Freddie of Midland, NC; son, Michael Ray Watkins of Fairview, NC; grandchildren, Shelly Rushing, Mika Watkins, Angie Fink, Josh Watkins, and Jessica Tucker; great-grandchildren, Zachary Tyler, Aiden Fink, Shu-Li Fink, Carson Fink, Alaina Tucker, Elexis Rushing, and Eli Rushing; sister, Christine Clontz of Charlotte, NC; Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Watkins family.
