Kenneth Arthur

Kenneth W. Arthur, 76, of Concord, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2011, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Arthur was born on December 12, 1935, to the late Robert Pink Arthur, Sr. and Ada Cornelius Farrell Arthur. He is survived by his wife of forty three years, Lynne Frances White Arthur; two sons, Steven Lynch and wife, Debbie from Alexandria, VA and Andrew Lynch from Tampa, FL; two brothers, William L. “Butch” Arthur and wife, Wanda from Concord and Terry Michael Arthur and wife, Julie of Chula, GA; and two sisters, Jane Troutman of Charlotte and Pat Burrage of Concord. Kenneth served as a First Sergeant in the US Army CID for 28 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He served as the Chief of Police in Walterboro, SC until his retirement.
