Kenneth Ballard

Kenneth Franklin Ballard, age 79, of Concord, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Mr. Ballard was born June 4, 1934 in Cabarrus County to the late James and Beda Ballard. Kenneth a proud member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church was also a avid out doors man. He proudly survived his country in the US Army, and retired from the Cabarrus Concrete. A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery at a later date. He is survived by he loving wife of 53 years, Betty Gaynell Ballard; son, James Kenneth Ballard and wife Connie of Concord,NC; daughter, Kenda Dempsey and husband Ben of Mabank,TX; seven grandchildren, James Ballard and wife Yasmina of Harrisburg,NC, Taylor Hearne and wife Breanna of Sheboygan,WI, Victoria Hearne of Waco,TX, Taylor Dempsey and wife Flavia of Del Rio, TX, Rachel Sullivan and husband Robert of Germany, Sarah Dempsey of Mabank,TX and Samantha Hurlocker of Concord,NC; two great grandchildren, Nayellie Dempsey and Ryder Hearne; sister, Evelyn Aldridge and husband William of Mt. Pleasant,NC; brother, James Ballard and wife Mary of Jacksonville,FL; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, General Fund. 32056 Herrin Grove Rd. Mt.
