Kenneth Burleson

Kenneth Reid Burleson, 88, of Albemarle, NC. died after an brief illness late Tuesday afternoon, October 10, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Mr. Burleson was born April 20, 1929 in Albemarle, NC. to the late Ralph and Letha Mae (Treece) Burleson .

On August 29, 1953 in Albemarle, NC. he married his loving wife of 64 years the former Helen B. (Barbee) Burleson who survives.

Other survivors include his devoted daughter, Vickie B. (Reggie) Barringer of Albemarle; 2 sons, Gordon D. (Bonnie) Burleson of Albemarle and Mark A. Burleson of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Kenneth E. Barringer, Daniel P. Barringer, Stacy P. Wittman and McKenzie D. Burleson; 8 great-grandchildren. 1 brother, Don H. Burleson also of Albemarle, NC. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Andy Dale Burleson along with 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 28766 NC 24/27 Hwy Albemarle, NC. 28001 with Rev. Brad Hinton and Rev. Ron Dry officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Burleson to Pine Grove United Methodist Church Building or Cemetery fund at 28766 NC 24/27 Hwy Albemarle, NC. 28001.

Ken will be forever missed by his loving and devoted family and many dear friends. May God grant him eternal rest.
