Kenneth Earl Dew, Sr.

Kenneth Earl Dew, Sr., 90, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Dew was born December 27, 1932 in Horry County, South Carolina to the late Homer Dew and the late Metta Dew. 
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Edwin Dew, RC Dew, Eidson Dew, Linney Dew; and sister, Cora Mae Ray. 

Kenny was raised in Taber City, North Carolina and was drafted into the Army in 1951 where he served in Germany. Upon discharge, he migrated to Akron, Ohio where he proudly served with the URW while working at General Tire, met the love of his life, Janice, and raised his family. He then returned to North Carolina in 1984. 

Survivors include wife of 62 years, Janice Dew of Harrisburg, NC; children, Kenneth and Adriana Dew Jr. of Richmond, VA, Ronald and Eileen of Harrisburg, NC, Lisa Hartsell of Matthews, NC, and Daniel Dew of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Matthew Hartsell, Marisa Dew, Miranda Dew Beagle, Sarah Dew, Edward Dew, and Anna Dew; multiple nieces and nephews; and sister, Alice Long.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
