Kenneth Rich

Kenneth Ray Rich, 73 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center - Union in Monroe.

Ken was born January 26, 1942 in Kansas to the late Emerson Rich and the late Beulah Wade Rich. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie and Gene Rich.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Oakboro First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary, officiated by Dr. Terrell Watts and Chip Alsobrooks. The burial will be at the Oakboro Cemetery, 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Wadkins Rich of the home; sister, Willdonna Rich of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Al Rich and wife Donna of Colorado Springs, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, and NASCAR.
