Kenneth Williams

Kenneth Wayne Williams, 79, of Concord, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Kenneth was born September 5, 1941, in Concord to the late Rally Rufus Williams and the late Flora Herlocker Williams.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Williams; infant son, Kenneth Williams Jr.; and his sisters, Faye Williams and Marcilene Moore.

Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 61' to 65' serving as crew chief, flying a KC-135.

Kenneth was a loving husband father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed fishing, metal fabrication and barbecuing.  Kenneth graduated from Concord High School in 1961 and went on to study real-estate at Biscayne Business College.

Survivors include son, Kevin Williams of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Penny (Bryan) McCulloh of Oakboro; companion, Jenny Burkhart of Concord; brother, Larry (Paulette) Williams of Carolina Shores; sister, Patsy Scercy of Concord; grandson, Chris (Casey) Cruse of Rockwell; grandson, Jon (Lauren) Cruse of Concord; and great-granddaughters, Camden and Caroline Cruse.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord, officiated by brother Larry Williams.  Family requests that everyone who attends to dress for comfort.

Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital and Hospice of Cabarrus County.
