Kermit Griffin

Robert Kermit Griffin, 92 years of age, was called to his Heavenly Home, Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his residence in Stanfield.

Kermit was born December 21, 1923 in Stanly County to the late Charlie Phylas Griffin and the late Verdie Ann Griffin.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Beauford Griffin and Ernest D. Griffin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Philadelphia Baptist Church at 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd, Stanfield, NC; the service will be officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Survivors include wife of 69 years, Ollie Mae Griffin of Stanfield; son, Michael Lynn (Tammy) Griffin of Stanfield; daughter, Saundra G. (Jerry) Smith of Stanfield; four grandchildren, Emily and Brooke Griffin, Matthew Smith, and Kayce Vaughn; and great-granddaughter, Emma Vaughn.
