Lane Rowland

Lane Odell Rowland, 76, of 1703 Daniel Street Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home on Sunday, November 13th from 1 until 2 pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 pm, with Rev. Chris Pethel and Rev. Richard Pethel officiating. Burial will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Millingport. The family meeting place will be at the home. Lane was born on October 21, 1935 in Stanly County, to the late Fred Anderson and Mary Lou Harwood Rowland. He was also preceded in death by his wife Judy Ellen Cagle Rowland in October and a brother Gaston Rowland. Lane is survived by his children, Ronnie Rowland and wife Danette, Donnie Rowland and wife Cheryl, Ricky Rowland and wife Karen, Melisa Sapp, Angela Rinaldi and husband Frank, David Rowland and wife Denise; grandchildren, Brian, Kristi, Joshua, Jacob, Jill, Chelsea, Hannah, Hilary, Hali, Ricky; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Zelma Smith of Albemarle, and Jewell Love of Locust.
