Larry Franklin Allred

Larry Franklin Allred, 83, of Concord, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Terra Bella Harrisburg after a period of declining health.

Mr. Allred was born August 31, 1941, in Concord, North Carolina to David Frank Allred and Mildred Tarleton Allred who proceeded him in death.

Larry was a 1960 graduate of W.R. Odell High School in Concord. He worked at Art Thomas Chevrolet and then in the parts department at City Chevrolet in Charlotte for more than 35 years. He was a member of Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church for over 60 years where he served in various roles. Larry enjoyed bird hunting and skeet shooting. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach and in Maggie Valley, NC with his family, especially his granddaughters.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church Concord. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Hilda King Smith Allred. Son, David (Julie) Allred and daughter, Dawn Brown. Granddaughters, Alison (Matt) Jamieson, Meredith Allred (fiancé Christopher Dunlap), Ansley Wallace (fiancé Trey Melton), Emma Brown, Gracie Brown, Mattie Brown and great grandson William Huck Jamieson.

The Allred family would like to thank Terra Bella Harrisburg Memory Care Unit and Via Health Partners for the love and care they provided to Larry, and his family, during this season of life.
