Larry Burris

Larry Houston Burris, 75 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.

Larry was born September 12, 1941 to the late Ralph and Virgie Burris. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Rice.

Larry was a lifetime member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He loved Braves baseball and enjoyed working in the yard. He was a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Friendship United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Roger Armistead. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM, prior to the service at the church. Burial will immediately follow at the church cemetery.

Survivors include beloved wife of 56 years, Norma Beaver Burris; son, William Ricky Bowman; daughter, Jatana Hendrick, and husband Mark; three grandsons, Christopher White and wife, Katherine, Jason White and Shayna Rozier, and Adam Hendrick; three great-grandchildren, Cameron White, Adyson White and Ty Hendrick; and three sisters, Margaret Long, Shirley Cress and Ruth Wright and husband, BJ.

Memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 4695 Mt. Pleasant Rd S, Concord, NC.
