Larry Eugene Christy, 70 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
Larry was born October 7, 1945 in Concord to the late Walter Lee Christy and the late Martha Maggaline Christy. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Walter "Chubby" Christy.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean Christy of Concord; sons, Brian & wife, Renee Christy of Mooresville and Richard & wife, Jennifer Christy of Salisbury; daughters, Lori & husband, Ray Mullis of Concord and Brandi & husband, Tony Williams of Kannapolis; sister, Mary E. (Addison) Strickland of Concord; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Concord Lake Baptist Church, Concord, NC. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at Concord Lake Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ralph Hager. Burial to follow at Rutherford Cemetery in Concord.
