Larry Goodman

Larry was born April 6, 1947 in Concord to the late Junior Lee and Virginia Gray Goodman.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Kannapolis.  Larry was also a proud member of the VFW and American Legion.  He was a loving fiancé, father, grandfather and brother.  Larry will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Survivors include fiancée, Carol Morgan of the home; daughter, Janet Lee (Charles) Lane of KY; daughter, Julie Miller of OK; daughter, Jacki Miller Cook of OK; daughter, Brodie Jean (Clay) Thompson of OK; son, Patrick Sprague Lane of Kannapolis, NC; daughter, Tessie Oakford of Wilmington, NC; and the love of his life, Matthew Morgan.  Larry is also survived by five grandchildren, Justin (Christina) Lane, Jesse L. (Jesse E.) Baeza, Tyler Thompson, Jacob Lane and Cameron Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Nikolai and Naomi Lane and Veda Lane; sister, Jackie (Dallas) Hedrick of MD; and niece, Shellie (Earl) Wilson of MD.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury NC.

Donations in Larry's memory may be made to the VFW or American Legion.
