Larry Melvin Howell, Jr., 53 of Stanfield passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Mr. Howell was born June 13, 1959 in Wilmington, Delaware. Larry was preceded in death by a sister Barbara H. Adaire. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 4 until 5 pm . Funeral services will follow at 5 pm in the chapel, with Rev. Jeff Barbee to officiate. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sandra Ann Winchester Howell of Stanfield; parents, Larry Melvin Howell, Sr and Evelyn Kathline Weaver Howell of Stanfield; sister; Diane H. Foust and husband Bob of Midland; and nieces, nephews, and other family members. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081.
