Larry Presnell

Larry Franklin Presnell, 66 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the home of his daughter, Patty. Larry was born October 11, 1947 in Charlotte, NC to the late George Franklin Presnell and Aline Frances Ervin Presnell. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Duncan Presnell; second wife, Rebecca Ann Presnell; and sisters, Barbara Mashburn and Madeline Jones. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 4:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Gibbs officiating. The burial will follow at Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Monroe. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home of his daughter, Patty, at 4489 Love Mill Rd. in Stanfield. He is survived by his daughters, Patty Smith and husband, Jeffrey, of Stanfield, Cynthia Bass and husband, Wade, of Stanfield, Crystal Allen and husband, Terry, of Wilmington; son, Daniel Presnell of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jamey Bass, Kimberly Bass, Blair Ketner, and Sara Simonds; and great grandchildren, Ryan Cain, Parker Ketner, and Lois Simonds; and brother, Ronald Presnell of Mooresville. Larry loved playing bluegrass music, and enjoyed carpentry and playing with his great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
