Larvene Eury

Larvene Hatley Eury, 76, of the Finger Community, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Mrs. Eury was born September 2, 1934, in Stanly County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Frank Eury in 2008; father, Ulysses Alexander Hatley; and mother, Dora Isabelle Page Hatley. She was the retired owner and operator of F & L Spreading Service and a member of Salem United Methodist Church for over 55 years. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and cooking. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 11, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Salem United Methodist Church officiated by Jacqueline Tookey. Surviving family members are daughters, Lisa Almond and husband, Randy, and Lana Bunting and husband, Jeff, all of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Ted A. Hatley of Albemarle; sister, Cedel H. Lowder of Albemarle; grandchildren, Misty Smith, Jeremy Almond, and Landon Bunting; and great-grandchild, Bristol Smith.
