Laura Blaney

Laura Gertrude "Trudy" Lambert Blaney, 99 years of age, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Blaney was born December 24, 1913 in Stanly County to the late Millard Huston Lambert and Effie Jane Eury Lambert. She was also preceded in death by first husband, Martin Cletus Carriker, and second husband, Robert Lloyd Blaney; and one sister Annie Lois Hatley. The graveside service will be at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 24671 Millingport Road, Locust, NC, on Wednesday, July 31, at 11 a.m. Survivors include son, David (Shari) Carriker of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Elaine (John) Elsheimer of Glade Valley; grandchildren, John David (Lessie) Carriker, Theresa (Artie) Peterson, David (Patty) Blaney, and Michael Blaney; and seven great grandchildren,. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Mecklenburg, 1420 East Seventh Street , Charlotte, NC 28204 or the charity of the donor's choice. .
