Laura Deaton

Laura Willene Mabrey Deaton ,86, of 6240 Old Salisbury Concord Road, Kannapolis, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Transitional Healthcare in Concord. Born on April 13, 1924 in Cabarrus County to the late Richard and Addie Bost Mabrey, she was also preceded in death by her husband William Alexander Lewis, and son Bobby R. Goode. Mrs. Deaton was a weaver with Cannon Mills. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord from 1 until 2 pm, funeral services will follow at 2 pm in the chapel, with the pastor, Dr. Kevin L. Hartsell officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survived by: sister, Martha Kee of Concord; sister-in-law and care giver, Helen Mabrey of Kannapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
