Laura Groman

Laura Mary Webber Groman, age 100 of Albemarle, formerly of Allentown, PA, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Stanly Manor. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Roger Thomas. Burial will follow at Eastern Salisbury Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Allentown, PA, on Monday, April 23 at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Groman was born in Berks County, PA on June 25, 1911, to the late Walter Franklin Webber and the late Mary Susanna Troutman Webber. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Theodore Groman. She is survived by a son, David Bruce Groman and his wife Karen of Waco, TX; a daughter, Ruth Groman Cain and her husband Eric of Albemarle; three grandchildren, Seth Cain and Peter and Mark Groman; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Groman was a member of St. Marks United Church of Christ, Allentown, PA. A retired school teacher from the Lehigh County School System, she loved music and working with children.
