Laura Hayes

Laura Lee Hayes, 43, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 12 until 1:30 PM. Graveside services will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis at 2 PM. Ms. Hayes was born on March 12, 1969 in Battlecreek MI, to John Calvin Hayes, Jr. and the late Betty Joan Eury Hayes of Concord. Laura was a Q A Technician for Blythe Construction Company. She was a huge nature enthusiast, she loved fishing and camping. She loved watching weird TV shows and “Downton Abbey”. She loved collecting things that glowed, such as neon signs, playing her X-Box games and was a big fire bug. In addition to her loving father John, she is survived by sisters, Sheila H. Brown and Ronnie of Charlotte, and Sharon H. Jalayer and Nader of Concord ; niece, Jessica Arney and Donny Edwards; great-nieces and nephew, Yasamine Arney, Daven Arney, and Dana Arney of Concord; best friends, Angie Hoke and Reza Khani; and her furry best friend, Zoe.
