Laura Litaker

Laura Marie "Bird" Litaker, 90, of Concord, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Concord NC.

Marie Litaker was born December 21, 1932 in North Carolina to the late Oscar William Litaker and the late Lomie Litaker.
She was also preceded in death by brother, Carl Litaker, brother, Aubrey Litaker, sister, Juanita Lefler, sister, Connie Lee Carpenter, sister, Julia Mae Litaker, and sister, Kathleen Virginia Litaker.

Bird loved animals of all kinds, taking in many strays. She loved her home place and working in the yard and gardens for many years. Marie also worked  in the billing department at Cannon Mills for many years. Most of all she loved her family and was a caregiver to her siblings.  Bird will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-1:50 pm, Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Center United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Center United Methodist Church in Concord officiated by Pastor Tony Allen. Burial will follow at the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery at 1119 Union St. South, Concord, NC 28025.

Survivors include niece, Debbie Ballard of Concord, NC, niece, Lisa Loeb of Concord, NC, niece, Pam Cochran of Concord, NC;  as well as several other nieces and a nephew.
