Laura Mullis

Laura Brown Hathcock Mills Mullis, 92 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at St. Andrews Living Center in Concord.

Mrs. Mullis was born August 10, 1922 in Stanly County to the late Clarence Dawson Hathcock and the late Dora Alice Osborne Hathcock. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Ray Von Mills, and Arlie A. Mullis; son, Stephen Ray Mills and wife, Libby; grandson, Danny Ray Mills; brother, Carl Hathcock; and sister, Ramelle Burnette.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday , July 15, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Bruce League will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Stanfield, 200 NC Hwy 200, Stanfield, NC. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Rd., Marshville, NC. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

At other times the family will be meeting at the home of her son, Mike Mills in Stanfield.

She is survived by son, Mike Mills and wife, Debbie of Stanfield; stepdaughter, Marlene Austin Nash of Stanfield; grandchildren, Stephanie Hunsucker, Lori Greene, Jeff Mills, and Krissy Cardwell; and ten great-grandchildren.
