Laurie Zummo

Laurie Ann Zummo, 58, of Lancaster, SC, previously of Charlotte, NC, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Laurie was born November 23, 1963, in Chicago, IL.  She worked in customer service management for over 25 years.  Laurie enjoyed upcycling and thrift/antique shopping.  She loved being outdoors and gardening.  Laurie was a member of the Separation Divorce Recovery Group of Charlotte.  She had a big heart and always put others before herself.  Laurie was kind, genuine, selfless and just full of love.  She never spoke bad about anyone.  She will be remembered as passionate, direct and strong.  Laurie was a leader.  Most of all, Laurie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend and colleague.

Survivors include son, Joshua Zummo of Concord; parents, Elmer and Carole Hutchison; siblings, Mike (Mary) Massari of Gurnee, IL, Jim (Debbie) Massari of Algonquin, IL, Joe Hutchison of Milwaukee, WI, Lisa (Paul) Yoggerst of Waukegan, IL, and Jerry Hutchison of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Josett (Kyle) Duckworth and Lance Waid all of Warner Robbins, GA.

The funeral service in celebration of Laurie's life will be held from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  We invite you to join us at 3:00 pm on Friday to share memories of Laurie.
