Lawrence "Mackie" Mclester, Jr.

Lawrence "Mackie " Crosby McLester, Jr. 75, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Mr. McLester was born June 27, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Lawrence Crosby McLester Sr. and the late Avalea Love McLester.

Mackie was loved by so many people. If you measure a man's wealth based on the number of friends he has, Mackie was a very wealthy man.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, July 1, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Barry Whitley. Burial will follow the service at the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.

Survivors include wife, Judy Lynn McLester of Oakboro; son, Jeffrey Neal (Marnee) McLester of Huntersville; daughter, Chris Ann (Jimmy) Johnson of Oakboro;  stepson, Eddie (Angie) Mills of Monroe; grandchildren, Peyton McLester, Timothy Mills, Taylor (Tyler) Mills, Cloe Mills; great granddaughter, Anna Mills; sisters, Charlotte (David) Morris, Lisa McLester (Greg) Turner, Laura McLester; and  brothers, Billy McLester and David McLester.
