Leah Buttery

Leah Buttery, 23 years of age, of Concord, N.C. passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 12, 2013. Leah was born January 25, 1990 in Plattsburgh, NY to Roy Buttery and Linda (Tart) Buttery . Leah graduated from J.M. Robinson Highschool in 2008. She was very active in competition cheerleading, which she greatly enjoyed. Leah's heart was with teaching younger children. She was an active youth leader with PH throughout many of her formative years. Leah greatly loved the Lord, her family and friends, the mountains, hiking, camping and watching the sunrise. Family members include parents, Roy & Linda Buttery of Concord, NC brother, Jonathan Buttery of Concord, NC, sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Mikey Patterson of Harrisburg, NC, paternal grandmother Harriett Buttery of Kannapolis, NC, maternal grandfather, Harold Tart Jr. of Essex, NY, Uncle Albert Buttery of Dunedin, Fl, Aunt and Uncle Debbie & Doug Jerdo of Saranac Lake, NY, Aunt and Uncle Sharon & Jeff Kinblom of North River, NY, Aunt and Uncle Pam & Richard Drollette of Willsboro, NY and many close cousins and her pets Jackie Boy, Guiness, Gimberetta She was greeted into Heaven into the open arms of God and her predeceased paternal grandfather, Howard Buttery & Uncle John Henry, maternal grandmother Teresa Tart, and three cousins Chelsea Kinblom, Lindsay Jerdo & Joshua Jerdo. The family will receive friends between the hours of 5-8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home located on Branchview in Concord, NC on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. The funeral service will be held the following day on Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Home time (TBD) officiated by Pastor Jay Stewart from the Refuge. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials/donations be made to Mercy Ministries &/or Teen Challenge in Leah's honor.
