Lectie Isabelle Shankle, 91 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.
Lectie was born October 25, 1925 in Stanly County to the late Louis Benjamin Brown and Lexie Smith Brown. She was also preceded in death by husband, Franklin Lanier Shankle.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Brad Lynch will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Norview Gardens, 949 Pee Dee Avenue, Norwood. The body will lie in state at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle from 2:30 - 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Sue (John) Hopkins of Norwood, and Georgia S. (James) Clay of Pfafftown; and granddaughter, Amanda Clay of Greensboro.
