Lee Edwards

Lee Dale Mullis Edwards, 87 years of age, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at her home.
Lee was born April 15, 1928 in Union County to the late Silas Oscar Mullis and the late Lettie Cordelia Long Mullis. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Simp Edwards, in 2002; brothers, Rufus Mullis, Oscar "Bill" Mullis, Edsel Mullis, and Ralph Mullis; sisters, Bessie High, Virginia Love, Doris Brooks, and Betty Jo Kiker.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Longs Grove Advent Christian Church in the fellowship hall. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary, officiated by Dr. John Roller and Rev. Glennon Balser. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda E. Clontz and husband Larry of Monroe; nephew (like a son), Logan Mullis of Jacksonville, FL;three grandchildren, Candice Mills and husband Gary of Huntersville, Michael and Meagan Mullis of Jacksonville, FL; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Mills of Huntersville; and sister, Sue Smith of Mocksville.
