Lee Long

Lee Roy Long, 72 years of age, of Stanfield, traded his earthly home for his heavenly home on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Mr. Long was born January 16, 1942 in Stanly County to the late George Wilson Long and Maggie Mescitous Watkins Long . He was also preceded in death by brother, Reece J. Long and sister, Lucy M. Long.
The family will receive friends at Love's Grove United Methodist Church, 4360 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 3 - 4 p.m.. The funeral services will follow at 4 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jim White. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
At other times, the family will gather at Mr. Long's home.
Those left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Fred (Shelby) Long, Robert (Peggy) Long, Hoyle (Mary) Long, Bobby (Gwen) Long, and Ray Long; sisters, Geneva Hartsell, Martha (Jerry) Efird, Johnnie Thompson, Linda (Grady) Troutman, Frances (Tom) Campbell, Mary (Bill) Taylor; and a number of nieces and nephews.
