Lela Teeter

Mrs. Lela Cerena (Chaney) Teeter 99 of Shamrock Road Harrisburg, NC slipped into the arms of her Saviour on Monday November 9, 2009 at Genesis Healthcare in Mooresville, NC. Born in Cabarrus County on September 6, 1910 to the late James Franklin Chaney and the late Mollie Cerena (Turner) Chaney. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Martin Teeter and brothers, Willie and Paul Adam Chaney, and son-in-law Spencer Lee Ritchie. Mrs. Teeter was a homemaker, and a member of Grace Church, PCA in Harrisburg. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Church in Harrisburg on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Doug Agnew and the Rev. Gene Boelte officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survived by: three daughters, Doris Teeter and husband Perry of Glade Valley, NC; Frances Ritchie of Harrisburg, NC; and Willie Ann Stayer and husband Thomas of Mocksville, NC; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and great neices and nephews.
