Lela Mae Williams

Lela Mae Williams, 101, of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care Center with her loving daughter and caregiver Roberta Noah by her side; on September 21, 2023.

Lela Mae was born March 20, 1922 to the late Robert Winslow and the late Cora Jane Hinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Cary Williams; and sons, Stanley Williams and Nelson Williams.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Haigler of Monroe, Norma Little of Monroe, Elaine Latham of Huntland, TN, and Roberta Noah of Huntsville, AL; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was the oldest member of Antioch Baptist Church of Monroe, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 29, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church.
