Lelia Barnhardt

Lelia Alice Love Barnhardt, 85, of Locust, NC, passed away, Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Barnhardt was born February 8, 1925, in Union County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Barnhardt; father, William Alexander Love; mother, Osie Helms Love; brothers, Arthur Love, Edward Love, and Harold Love; and sister, Helen Whitley. The visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, with a 30 minute state, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Stanfield, officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, Ruby, at 110 Woodwinds Street, Locust. She is survived by sons, Wayne Lee Barnhardt and wife, Barbara, Glenn Robert Barnhardt and wife, Becky, Ricky Gene Barnhardt and wife, Crystal; daughter, Ruby Barnhardt Benge and husband, Barry; grandchildren, Leslie, Karen, Jason, Megan, Jacob, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Matthew, A. J., Alex, and Nic; brothers, Charles, Johnny and Billy Love; and sisters, Faye Smith, Janie Barnhardt, and Shirley Wilson.
