Leonard Allison

Leonard Allison, 86 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Leonard was born September 5, 1930 to the late Earl and Ruth Allison. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Allison.

Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and travel. He loved the mountains, the beach, and the Wolfpack. Leonard loved his grandsons most of all. He was a longtime member of Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church, Concord.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church, 6841 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027, officiated by Rev. Clark Remsburg. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Leonard will be laid to rest in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Nora Allison; son, Craig Allison; daughter, Pam Allison; three grandsons, Garrett Allison, Brandon Rushing and wife, Meagan and Ryan Rushing; great-grandson, Marley Rushing; sister, Eva Justice; brother, Harold Allison; numerous nieces and nephews.
