Leonard Wade

Leonard Eugene Wade 81, of Concord, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Universal Healthcare. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, April 2nd from 6 until 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord Chapel on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2 pm, with Rev. Phil Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Leonard was born on May 30, 1930, to the late Leonard and Frances Foster Wade. He was also preceded in death by his wife Iris Jane Billings Wade in September of 1999, son Jerry V. Wade in May of 2007, and grandson Von Shane Wade in October of 1990. Ronald and Bridgette would like to extend a special thanks for the great care and support given to our father as well as us during these past 4 months by Dr. Tanya E. Whitner of NorthEast Inpatient Services, many wonderful Nurses, CNA’s as well as the team of caregivers and nurses at Universal Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by: son, Ronald E. Wade of Concord; daughter, Bridgette Wade DeFalco and husband Jim of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Erica Atwell and husband Nick of Fishers, IN, and Westin Williams of Fisher, IN; great-grandchild, Madison R.
