Leroy Linker

Leroy Linker, 72, of Concord, passed away on January 15, 2022 in Concord, NC.

He was born on January 23, 1949 to Ralph and Laura (Riley) Linker in Concord, NC.  Leroy worked as an Electrician for many years following his return from deployment in Vietnam, as a member of the U.S. Army. Later in life, he enjoyed spending time with his dog,  Scooter, and with his grandchildren and siblings. He was an avid fan of naps, working in the yard, and watching Gunsmoke or Andy Griffith.

He will be remembered fondly as the cornerstone of his beloved church family. As an active member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Concord, NC, Leroy was known for his unmatched devotion to, and love towards, the church and anyone who attended.

Leroy is survived by his beloved dog and best friend, Scooter; grandchildren Sidney and Noah Rice of Concord, NC, and Monica Bowyer of Salisbury, NC; two sisters, Tamara Love and Judy Long; and three brothers, Dan Linker, Charles Linker, and George Linker.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Linker; father, Ralph Linker; brother, Calvin Linker; loving wife, Norma Dulin Linker; and daughters, Amanda Gail Bowyer and Wendy Marie Rice.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, in Concord, NC. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, NC, with Brother Ronnie Cooper & Brother Leonard Ewing, officiating.   Burial will take place in the Carolina Memorial Park, located in Kannapolis, NC.
