Levy L. Smith, 71 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his home.
Levy was born December 28, 1943 in Virginia to the late James Smith and the late Evelyn Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Smith; and sister, Jeannette Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 23, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rose Susan Lee Smith of the home; daughter, Mona Basile and husband John of Concord; sons, Levy Smith, Jr and wife Amber of Victoria, TX and Jack Smith of Concord; grandchildren, Christian Heavner, Olivia Basile, Jason Smith, and Cecilia Smith; brothers, Joe, Jack, John, Naylor, and Benny Smith; sisters, Gloria Brewer, Beedie Barringer, Sophie Castleberry, Nancy Readling, Loretta Buckland, Barbara Primiero.
