Lewis Edgar Dorton, Sr., 91 years of age, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his residence in Midland.
Lewis was born September 10, 1924 in Cabarrus County to the late John David Dorton and the late Rettie Belle Hathcock Dorton. He was also preceded in death by wife, Dora Vermelle Dorton in 2011.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM, Friday, June 10, 2016 at Howell's Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 10, 2016 at Howells Baptist Church, 3800 Baptist Lane, Concord. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be meeting at the home.
He is survived by his son, Lewis Edgar (Liliana) Dorton, Jr. of Midland; and grandson, Jay Dorton of Concord.
