Lewis Everhart

Lewis "Jack" Salisbury "Termite" Everhart, 78 years of age, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at CMC - Union in Monroe. Mr. Everhart was born March 17, 1935 in Rowan County to the late Lewis Baxter Everhart and the late Lessie Page Everhart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Everhart in 2003. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Midland and will be officiated by Rev. Tom Gibbs. There will be a 30 minute state prior to the service. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery at 4720 Garmon Mill Road, Midland. At other times, the family will meet at the home of his son, David L. Everhart. Survivors include his sons, David Everhart of Monroe and Scott Everhart of Kannapolis; sister, Lucille Furr of Midland; half sister, Margaret Simmons of Salisbary; half brothers, Walker and Ronald Harkey of Midland; and two grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Everhart family.
