Lewis Aaron Ritchie, 61, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
Aaron was born July 10, 1962 in Charlotte to Sam and Carolyn Ritchie. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Griggs Ritchie; and nephew, Artie Bragg.
Aaron was the owner of Benchmark Masonry LLC and the Power Wash Store, Charlotte. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a past Harrisburg Town Council member, board member of Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning, and President of Georgeville Volunteer Fire Dept. Board. Aaron collected International antique tractors and guns. Most of all, Aaron was a loving husband, daddy, son, grandpaw and brother.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Hopewell Baptist Church, Legacy Campus, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm, officiated by Rev. Brian Austin, Rev. Dale Brooks, and Rev. Lee Pigg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include beloved wife, Dana Ritchie of Concord; father, Sam Lewis Ritchie of Midland; children, Amber (Alec) Thomas, Jonathan (Sherry) Ritchie, Benjamin (Anna) Ritchie, Adam (Rebekah) Newsome, Alex (Ashley) Newsome, Blaine (Mary) Newsome, and Steven (Amber) Brown; grandchildren, Taylor Ritchie, Georgia and Eve Newsome, Reily, Sophia and Chase Barnhardt; brother, Arnold Ritchie; sister, Becky (Mike) Blevins; and niece, Christie Ritchie.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 420 Hopewell Church Rd, Monroe, NC 28110.
