Liddie Low Furr Russ, 84, of Kluttz Road Concord passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at CMC-NorhtEast in Concord. She was born on July 27, 1927 in Stanly County to the late John Pickney and Lou Etta Mae Brittion Eury Furr. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Allen Russ, sisters, Ruby Furr and Bessie O’Brien and brothers, Robert and Fred Furr . A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, September 6th from 7 until 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Phaniels Baptist Church 2685 Phaniel Church Road Rockwell, NC on Wednesday, September 7th at 11 AM, following a 30 Min. state, with Rev. Michael Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by: daughter, Phyllis Russ Layton and husband Terry of Concord; grandchildren, Felicia Miller, Michael Layton and Joanie Layton; brother, Perry Furr of Concord; sisters, Bertie Holloman of Asheboro and Annie Herlocker of Greensboro ; four great-grandchildren.
