Lillian Pickler

Lillian Louise Boles Pickler passed away November 13, 2009 at Britthaven of the Piedmont in Albemarle, NC. She was born in Stokes County on February 18, 1917. She was employed by Efird Mills of Albemarle for 47 years and was a member of Kendalls Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and enjoyed baking pies and cakes which she shared with friends and family. Every year she would host the Pickler and Boles family gatherings until her health declined. Visitation will be Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 6- 8 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Kendalls Baptist Church with a 30 minute state. Rev. Christopher Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Grant Pickler in 1987 and her father and mother, Clarence Boles and Nealie Florence Talbert Boles and her brothers Key West Boles, James Boles and Haywood Boles, Bobby Boles; sisters, Mildred Poplin and Mary Belle Boles. She is survived by her son Gary R. Pickler of New London,NC.
