Lillie Sells

Lillie Mae Preslar Sells, affectionately known as “Mama II”, Age 88 of 28455 NC Hwy 24 27 Hwy W, Albemarle, North Carolina 28001, passed away on September 26, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born on February 28, 1921 in Union County, NC. She was preceded in death by her Husband- Dowd Wilson Sells, mother Nita Pauline Austin Preslar Moore, father, Hosea Caldwell Preslar, her brothers Marvin, Floyd and Earl Preslar. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28,2009 from 2:30 PM 4:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will be held on Monday,September 28, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle NC with the minister Rev.Steve Barbee officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove UMC Cemetery. Lillie Mae Sells was survived by her daughter Kay Sells Howard of Albemarle NC, her granddaughter Starla Eudy Whitley and husband Eddie of Oakbpro NC, Great Grandson-Cade Dowd Whitley, her sister Kate Preslar Baker of Charlotte NC, two special neighbors, Pansy Morton and Kay Jones and special sister-in-law-Pat Moore She was an active member at the Stanly County Senior Center and the Stanly County Democratic Women. She was an active member of her church as long as her health permitted. The family will meet at the home of daughter, Kay Howard, 905 N. 11th St, Albemarle, NC Memorials may be made to: Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N.
