Lillie Talbert

Lillie Kathleen Talbert, 90, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly in Albemarle.

Kathleen was born May 15, 1927 in Stanly County to the late Broadus Davidson Talbert and the late Mary Hardee Talbert. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Lee Biggers; second husband, James Lassiter; son, Joseph Franklin Biggers; sisters, Dorothy M. Talbert, Lucille T. Harward, and Sarah T. Burris Pinion; and brother, Donald Talbert.

The graveside service to celebrate her life will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Fairview Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Joe Smith.

She is survived by her sons, William Lee Biggers and wife Barbara of New London, Richard Dwight Biggers and wife Beverly of China Grove, Charles Phillip Biggers of Florida; brother, Broadus Junior Talbert and wife Nancy of Palm Bay, FL; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathleen was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She worked in home care, and was a member of Worldwide Church of God. She enjoyed reading and cooking.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
