Linda Whitley

Linda Misenheimer Whitley, 80, of New London, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle.

Linda was born July 9, 1942 in North Carolina to the late Burley Calvin Misenheimer and the late Annie Haywood Misenheimer. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Buck Misenheimer.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am - 2:00pm, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, NC.

Linda was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  She was a loving soul that knew no stranger and would never let you leave without giving you a hug to let you know that she loved you.  Linda was a Proverbs 31 woman and was a member of Centerview Baptist Church of Albemarle.  Linda loved to collect trinkets from yard sales and thrift stores.  She also enjoyed flounder fishing and deer hunting with her husband, and her most cherished moments were times spent with her family and her dogs, Black Dog and Max.

Survivors include husband, Ronnie Whitley; sons, Shaun (Jill) Whitley and Jeff (Terry) Whitley; daughters, Renee (Allen) Creed and Kimberly (Joe) Hunter; grandchildren, Trisha (Joseph) Galyan, John Allen Creed, Cheyenne Whitley, Ashton Creed, Skylar Whitley, Keeli Chisom, Kaila Chisom, and Josh Hunter; great-grandchildren, Remington Morton, Kinsleigh Morton, Stella Galyan, Waylon Galyan, Kelani Chisom, and one on the way, Scarlett Mae; sister, Sylvia Watson and brother, Steve (Tamara) Misenheimer.
