Linda Huneycutt

Linda Zell Speight Huneycutt, 78, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at her home.

Linda was born October 13, 1943 in North Carolina to the late Raphu Alexander Speight and the late Hattie Lee Underwood Speight.

The funeral service will be on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Canton Baptist Church in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Kenneth Gibson. Burial will immediately follow at the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery at 24615 Endy Rd, Albemarle.

Survivors include husband, Ed Huneycutt of Albemarle, NC; children, Tim (Brenda), Ron (Julie), and Trent Huneycutt (Lori); grandchildren, Emily McCallum (Nathan) and Tyler, Riley, Abbie, Drew, and Kinsley Huneycutt; and great-granddaughter, Avery McCallum.

She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandma and friend to many. She loved going to church, where she played the organ and piano. She and Ed spent lots of time in the mountains, and enjoyed traveling around to watch all of the grandkids play sports. Linda retired from Stanly County Schools after 31 years of teaching business and typing classes.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Troy.
