Linda Morrison Jones

Linda Morrison Jones, 83, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Southminster in Charlotte, NC.

Linda was born July 20, 1941, in North Carolina to the late William Augustus Morrison and the late Elizabeth Allene Morrison. 

She was also preceded in death by husband Johnie Hooper Jones; siblings, Gail Morrison Polk, Daniel Earnest Morrison.

Linda's funeral service will be on Friday at 10:00 am at Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte officiated by Reverend Dr. William Jeffries. Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery at 12700 Idlebrook Rd., Midland.

Linda was very blessed to have been married to Johnie H. Jones, with whom she traveled the world to places such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, South America, the Philippines, China, and many other exotic and distant locations. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church, and Quail Hollow Country Club. She loved See's candy and taking care of her flowers, especially orchids. Linda loved the Lord with all her heart, and although her presence will be sorely missed by those she left behind, we can all find comfort in knowing that she is now and forever with her Lord and Savior.

Survivors include sisters, Peggy Morrison Love, Jane Morrison Lands, Deanna Morrison, Elizabeth (Chris) Walker; brother, Randall (Brenda) Lane Morrison; grandchildren, Meghan Jones, Marley Jones, Johnie Jones, Jane Elizabeth Jones, and Taylor Jones; many beloved nieces and nephews; a special sister, Christine Sanders; and a very special daughter, Nigora Dossova.
