Linda Stancil (Sparkman)

Linda Love Stancil, 79, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022.

Born in Stanly County to the late Jennings Love and the late Edna Love of Stanfield.
She was also preceded in death by R.V. Stancil, Jr. (children's father) and her husband of 30 years, Edward Fowler Sparkman.

Linda was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanfield, where she was the pianist for years. She played on the girls basketball team and she drove a school bus for Stanfield High School. She was a 1961 graduate of Stanfield High School. She was a loving and caring mother, sister and daughter. She married right out of high school to R.V. Stancil, Jr., father to her children Shannon and Bryan Stancil.

She is survived by both children, Shannon and Bryan Stancil of Stanfield, NC; grandson, Dalton Stancil and fiancée Mel Rodriguez of Charleston, SC; sister, Gail G. Howell (Ira) of Stanfield, NC; niece, Danielle S. Sisk (Michael) of Midland, NC; great-niece, Alyssa Sisk of Midland, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Friday, February 18, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Stanfield. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Stanfield officiated by Rev. Bruce League.  Burial will follow at the First Baptist Cemetery at 200 Hwy. 200 North, Stanfield.
